ON-CAMERA ACTING & AUDITION TECHNIQUES - LEVEL I- Age 13 yrs. & up
This eight-week workshop is designed to develop a foundation of on-camera acting and auditioning techniques for the novice to intermediate level actor. Through the use of various acting methods and creative exercises, students will enhance their communication skills, emotional expression, and confidence, both as individuals and as actors playing an on-camera role. Students will explore and practice commercial acting, scene study, character development, improvisation, and interview/audition preparation, techniques and protocol. Marketing yourself as an actor and developing a competitive edge will be introduced and discussed. The workshop will culminate in a “mock audition” on the last night of class, where students will “audition” and be given feedback on their work.
Class schedule – one time per week – evenings at the scheduled time for a total of two hours per night.
Cost - $450 if paid in full or $59.25 if paid on a weekly basis (A $3.00 per week service charge is assessed if paid weekly). There is also a $25 registration fee which is waived if paid in full.
ON-CAMERA ACTING, SCENE STUDY & MONOLOGUE WORKSHOP - LEVEL II Age 13 yrs. & up
(Pre-Requisite: On-Camera Acting & Audition Techniques Level I)
In this four-week advanced acting workshop, students will build upon the foundation established in the On-Camera Level I class. The focus will be on selecting and preparing a monologue for on-camera auditions (for agent or manager representation and/or for auditions with casting directors or other auditions that may require a monologue). The actors will also participate in more intensive scene study and character development exercises, cold reads for auditions using both commercial copy and sides from scripts and challenging improvisation exercises. Marketing yourself in the business, including building your resume and pursuing a career as a professional actor, will also be discussed.
This workshop is an excellent way for actors to continue to hone their craft and may be taken on a regular basis to keep their skills fine-tuned and audition-ready. The workshop is designed to be flexible for returning actors since the dynamics of the class are always changing, and students are given the opportunity to network and practice with different actors, learn new exercises and work on new characters and scenes.

KIDS ON-CAMERA ACTING- Level 1- Age 4-6 yrs. & Age 7-9 yrs.

Acting games will be used to develop each child’s imagination, emotional expression, communication skills, cooperation, focus, confidence and respect for others. Children will learn and practice commercial acting, scene work, improvisation, interview and audition techniques and taking direction effectively. All exercises are tailored to the comprehension level of the group, and individual acting issues will be addressed and corrected, which also benefit the group as a whole. Each student’s work will be videotaped so that parents can view their progress and help the students to practice at home based upon the taped coaching given by the instructor.
Class schedule is based on age and varies between one-half hour to one hour per week for an 8 week period. Classes are held late afternoon – one time per week.

In addition, students will learn short individual monologues and how to effectively present them at an audition. PRIVATE ACTING COACHING SESSIONS- All Ages
Individual or semi-private acting coaching sessions are available for the beginner to the professional, established actor. Sessions are tailored to the needs of the individual in terms of what is covered in a session and how often and when sessions are held. All aspects of on-camera acting can be covered : Commercials, Scene Work, Monologue preparation, Improvisation, Audition preparation, including cold-read and interview skills, presentation skills (live or on-camera), preparation for a specific audition, including character study and building a role.
